Christmas
« on: 20 October 2008, 19:04:33 »

yes I know it's two months away. But the shops are all full of Christmas goodies, so I thought I'd ask anyway.

What would OOF members like their significant other half to buy them for Christmas this year.

Mrs Optimist is notoriously mean and I expect I will be given nothing this year again :'( :'(

Would any lady OOFers like Santa to "empty his sack for them" this Christmas?

Do tell :y :y

Why on earth would anyone want to delete this thread.......We seem to have a complete sense of humour failure here. Especially from someone who has "Hey F**k Off" on his avatar.

This thread is not offensive. It has a double meaning which you can take either way.

The other day Lizzie wrote a very funny comment regarding discharged seamen, this was very amusing and we all had a good laugh at it.

It seems I am courting controversy again, though I do not know why it is OK for some, and not for others. :(

Presumably the comment is about Santa's sack being emptied. Could mean taking the presents out of it.

Dissappointed with the holier than thou attitude.

No mate, you're not courting controversy, just being paranoid.

Sorry Optimist, but the suggestion is seconded. Baa Humbug if you like but common decency should restrict Christmas discussion to December only.

We are still the best part of 1/5 of a year away!!!!

Likewise. I'm all for sacks being emptied, for all I care Santa can impregnate the whole of China, but let's limit it to a reasonable time-frame.

I'm still closing my eyes, putting my fingers in my ears and shoulting lalalalalala during any Christmas ads on the telly.

Oooops :-[

I think I may have got hold of the wrong end of the stick here. And if I have I apologise.

I thought the self appointed OOF police had come along to do the job of the admins. (which they don't need to do)

I thought that political correctness had reared its ugly head yet again.

Hopefully I got it wrong :y :y
