anyone have a reoccurring dream? what about?
« on: 30 October 2008, 18:23:04 »

since 1999 i keep having a dream in different guises about the army.
i keep dreaming about the forces not wanting to let me go and keeping me in for years and years, not nice either.
in the final years of my "real" army term i could not wait to leave- especially after serving months apiece in 3 battlefield locations and constantly being the go to reliable guy for exercises etc, i had very little time with my daughter.
anyone else have a reoccurring dream that they can't fathom or know why it is??? :D

Yes I've had recurring dreams since I was very young.

One in particular...........a large tidal wave comes over the countryside towards my house, and I have to keep running........thankfully I wake up before it washes over me. :o :o :o

I try not to read too much into it. Its sort of like an old friend now, and not too frightening.

not so much recurring, but a few years ago i had 2 dreams and although not the same settings, both dreams involved me being shot, the first one i was stood at a bus shelter and was shot in the neck from a car that i thought was stopping for directions, i fell backwards and rolled slightly to the right and saw a woman with a pram just sat on the bench of the bus shelter just looking at me (not at all bothered, the society of today!) and woke up a moment later with sharp burning pain there, and the second one i was chased through the corridors (identical to those found in the hospital mission of PS2's The Getaway game) then pinned down in the room at the end after tripping over a brown leather couch and shot in the head and woke up instantly! in both dreams, there was a hell of alot of detail that etched on my memory, which is odd because you tend to forget the majority of it when you wake up

Oooh, spooky. I used to get that. ...you can never run fast enough...  :( :( :(
Not had that one for ages though.

Now it's aliens - like War of the Worlds meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I wouldn't call it an old friend either...  :o :o :o

As a child I had quite a few dreams about planes crashing, not the same dream though. I can still remember a couple of the settings in the dreams as they were local to where I live. Doesn't happen these days.
