Police 1 - Scrotes 0
« on: 01 November 2008, 02:23:35 »

Just had a bit of fun on the front...  Sat in my room doing a bit of uni work, and I heard rustling out front, thought nothing of it. (I always have my front window open, can't stand it being shut) anyway, heard it again so had a look...

2 little chavy f >:( >:( >:( s had the cover half off the bike and were mucking about with the rear numberplate.  Banged on the window, 1 saw me, then they went to leg it...

Just as they started, a police car just so happened to go down the road and saw them legging it from the drive, so flashy flashy they got the scrotes!

Went outside, numberplate half off, L plate half off too (loose as hell), one of the officers came down for a 'chat', saw how the rear of the bike was and just said "we'll sort em out"

In the back of the little multicoloured astra, and off they went!!

Still, 2am has to be the latest I've had the tools out of the car to do something  ;D

nice one, little scumbags getting what they deserved.

Just goes to show the people out there doing identify theft and such like pay these little gits to go out and steal number plates.

Aye tell me about it!  Certainly saved me the hastle of staying up all night as atleast I know they won't be back for a while...

Ahwell, I'll give it a clean today and spray it with a bit of WD40 in places help stop the salt from the roads getting to it!

Great that the police caught them 'in the act', but as they didn't actually commit theft, nor cause any real criminal damage, I doubt the CPS, if it even gets that far, will take it any further. ::) ::) ::)

A police caution is probably the most they will get. ;)

However, personnally I would do a lot more, but it would not be legal!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

Nowadays it is very unlikely that the Police will take action on an "attempted theft" of a number plate from my experience working alongside Kent Police. ;)

It is not worth the paperwork and the time taken up by two PC's for something the CPS is unlikely to take up because it is unlikely to come to court due to lack of firm evidence.  "Not in the public interest" is the CPS's favourite statement, due to costs more than anything else. ::) ::) ::)

Unfortunately, this is very true, these days --- the country is being run by accountants  >:(

In my youth (should that be "yoof"?) hospitals were run by medics and when the police used to bring their own cases to court, they were always willing to give it a try ----- these institutions are not businesses as such, and they shouldn't try to run them as though they are.

We also had a working rail and bus service, and we could go out for the evening, but fish and chips on the way home and still have change from thruppence.....................
