I have a tosh DLP tv
picture quality is excellent but the down side to that is £150 every 2 years for a replacement lamp

Forgot to mention you also need to set up 1 to 1 pixel matching with 1080p/i sources - for ultimate quality

Can't remember option and is not in manual

I think we paid about £630 4 months ago so good value overall. :y :y :y

Have a samsung as main telly,cant fault it. great value (it was free)
have a smaller sony bravia,which is also good but it rarely gets used so reliability ,hopefully wont be an issue.

Not sure martin ....all I know for sure is that it is  a Sony Bravia 40" 1080....is there more than one model of this television.?
I'll look it up on the invoice /bill.

We will go into John Lewis tomorrow after hospital and see whats what, spec wise as well as price.  

Will hopefully try to hold off on purchase for a few more weeks (telly failure permitting!) so we are into sales territory....   ;D

Yep there are loads of different models, all with different engines.

Ours is the W4500 as well, i play Call of Duty 4 and GTA 4, both very fast moving HD games, no problems what so ever!

Cracking picture  :)

i agree with the boy. I got a new samsung 6 series bout three months ago from costco, mainly for the warranty, had two break since then but on saturday went on a two hour mission to get tjhe third. The tv itself looks goodm, and the picture and sound are excellent, plus, pc world are throwing in a free  blu ray player at the moment all for the same price as the tv was from costco (which i still have the warrsanty from)

Model number is le40a656a.

I bought a Samsung last year and like TB and others, the thing had a fault not long after purchase but after much phoning and refusing a repair they gave me a new one which has been OK since. The picture quality seems to be good as well :y
