carlton v6?

has anyone ever done a v6 3.0 into a carlton,been thinking about it an what it would be like to drive as a track car.

didnt lotus put a v6 into a carlton or was it a straight 6  :-/ :-/ :-/

Not as good as an Omega 'B'. The Carlton was the Omega 'A' and has much older running gear so won't handle as well.

Save your money unless you're after a quirky car for the sake of it. You can pick up a V6 Omega 'B' for such a small amount of money now that the engine conversion to the Carlton would outweigh the costs.

No the Lotus Carlton had a 3.6 Straight 6 24v

Senator / other Carltons had the 3.0 Straight 6

But the 3.0 was the basis for the 3.6, stroked to get the capacity & beefed up to take the extra power & grunt.
