I find bugs in software and put others in myself.
I found a show stopper in a well know database driver a few years ago and I am currently hunting a bug in some purchased libraries for data browsers, exiting without closing some objects - eventually trashing the garbage collector

;D yep somewhat similiar here :y

Found no end in Windows and Novell, both companies really good at sorting it.  Found a blinder in Novell's IP stack a few years ago, had one of their programmers in our office for a few days finding and reprogramming part of the stack (they couldn't replicate our environment - we had the world's largest tree) - that was an eye opener...

So how did they fix it?

I thought the easiest thing to do was to nick the relevant bits from other people's lists.

  • Deep wreck diving on mixed gasses
  • Have a degreee in Cell Biology & Mammalian Physiology
  • I know a bit about sailing yachts and dinghies
  • I know a fair bit about mountaineering, fell walking and outdoor safety[/i]Brought up in the Highlands
    • knows where all the porn sites are
    • can do basic plumbing
    • above average at DIY
    • Can use a spanner or two
    • can do moaning, drinking, and talking 'dangle berries' [/i](Oh and smoking)
      • Play guitar [/i](badly)
        • Interested in IT
        • Divorced
        • [/i]I manage a range of: service managers, in-life managers, incident managers, deployment managers, project managers and so on.  I too hear so much BS every minute of every day, i could talk it with a straight face
        plagiarism ;o)

        And...

I also own one of the lightest full suspension mountain bike's (hand-built by me) this side of the Atlantic. I used to race and am still a keen bike-builder and enthusiastic rider.

        I paint (portraits, commissions etc.)

        Keep tropical fish

Can block out the sound of women whinging so well now it is sub-conscious

Roll a cigarette one handed whilst walking and holding up a pissed mate in the dark and rain.

Down a pint of water (orange squash preferred) in just under a second and a half. Beer can take slightly longer, but not much.

        Fart for Britain

Let me guess, you're a management consultant.
oh no, not likely.

I work in IT, listening all day to service managers, in-life managers, incident managers, deployment managers, project managers and so on.  I hear so much BS every minute of every day, i could talk it with a straight face

Yeah Yeah Yeah, so you work in "IT", what does that mean? You make the tea for any of the above  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
