I've used www.redstore.com in the past, as it resells crucial memory

see - http://www.redstore.com/fx/prc_gen.php?manuf_id=320&cat=MEM&subcat=ddr2&subcat2=2GB%2B&offset=0 for crucial DDR2 RAM

I need some memory in the New Year.

If you want to buy some for the OOF server I will send you the money for it, then when you get what is needed then just post the memory on to me when you are sorted. :y :y
Its the buying thats the issue - the only places that sell the brands I would buy at prices I'm happy to pay are all out of stock...

I think Dabs have stock?

I had checked dabs, seeing as I get discount there, but if I have to buy, I will go for ECC, and they ain't got none...

No, if we have to buy, we will be buying the specific one I want.

Thanks anyway :)

Crucial should have some next week, so I should be able to get by just after next weekend.  Just makes it tight with how long I can borrow this DL360 for.  No hassles though, just means the migration needs more planning and will take longer.

I use their trade arm, bluepoint.  They don't carry so much stock now, and my account mgr there said they would have to order in (and if Crucial have no stock, I don't rate their chances)

No probs guys, its not an issue, it was just on the offchance somebody had some laying around.

I'll wait until Crucial can fulfill the order, and do it when I get time, rather than trying to rush it all through.

What difference does the bufferred / unbuffered make?

The more I think about I would benefit from the ECC in my machine allthough it has just worked its socks off with out a hiccup it was on a low speed 32 bit CPU with DDR (Might even be SDram as I havent looked for ages)

In future it will be based on at least a dual core if not a Q6600,
