I have a distribution amplifier in the loft that has the brightest blue LED I've ever seen on it. Why, FFS? It's chucked in the loft where no one will ever see it.

Having nearly burnt out my retinas one time too many when crawling into the area where it's mounted it's now fitted with an accessory that should be standard fitment to any blue LED IMHO... A piece of black electrical tape.  >:(

I have had similar problems with my WPA 2 Key and my Xbox 360 and the Old CF27 had to be upgraded from Win 98 as it wouldnt support my key!
