My nearly 3 year old is tucked up in bed.  The horror the little girl must have gone through is too much to think about. :'(

the only punishment they will get is if someone attacks them in prison. apart from that they will be nice and comfortable with human rights looking after them while they serve there sentance.  >:(

They will be attacked - no way round it unless they stay in solitary.

I reckon they were habitual criminals who were caught by the dad or something similar.

I really hope something very painfull happens to them

i used to live on a first floor flat , i had my bike chained to the balcony, and one night heard some noise, stuck my head out the door and someone was trying to pinch it.

they saw me and came at me so i lumped em one and they legged it.

month later an almost identical thing happened to this, and its only that i was up cos my oldest (only one at the time) had been up with chicken pox that i heard the letterbox go at 1 in the morning and put the fire out before it got started.

two weeks after that i was walking the dog and a car pulled up, the same guy got out and i got a knife in the stomach.

between my wife and i we knew most kids in the area, as we both did youth work at the time, and he weren't local, so probably didn't know bout our kid, but he was still preparred to set fire to the only way out of our flat cos i'd stopped him nicking a £200 bike.

the shock at the time, and the fact it was only a bit of carpet that got damaged meant i didn't hit home too much, but seeing this stirs up feelings of hatred that makes me sick at todays supposed legal system.

how can anyone argue they have human rights after they denied that girl the right to live is beyond me.

(as a side note we moved shortly after and have had no problems since, however the registration number of the car and some family in places to make use of that meant i got the opportunity the parents of this case should be given.)

Sympathies mate. I was born in Croydon so am familiar with many parts of London. £200 bike/childs life???? Seems people have completely lost perspective.

I really hope you hurt him badly, I see no problems with killing people like that is self defense

i helped him understand my frustrations. :-X

what people wont realise about this is the full effect it has on a family.

i count myself lucky after hearing about this, yet it still had a major impact for a year or so on the relationship with the mrs.

in this situation people always look for someone to blame, and if they let it then it will cause a family to break apart, which just compounds the loss of their child.

i doubt the guy in my case or the perps in this, even think past the act themselves, as they're too selfish.

Funny tho how when people realise they may be in a bit of bother themselves, they use all the same arguements you used as reasons for them to have not done what they did in order to try and save their own skin.  thankfully you tend to be numbed to pleas when you just think of the damage they caused.

i think to a lot of youngsters in london, having the latest trainers/phone/fashion is more important than a childs life.  Civilised?  i think we're turning in to a third world country, and display the civility and barbarity of cave men at times.

what annoys me is the pond life think they have the right to steal what they like ,do what they like with immunity ,and that decent people should just let them do as they want but when the tables are turned and folk fight back that's all wrong and it the decent folk who end up be penalized

i was talking to an old fashioned Bobbie over Christmas ,he has another 5 months until he retires and he cant wait ,his parting words were how can we do our job when our hands are tied and the main deterrent is like a holiday camp.......
i think that sums it up very well
