replacement wing mirror
« on: 13 January 2009, 18:09:36 »

Some nice person recently kicked my passenger side wing mirror to pieces and although Ive managed to put it back together and got the electric adjustment to work obviously the mirror bit itself is smashed up. Does anyone know if you can pick up a self adhesive mirror to fit from Halfords or somewhere for a temp fix? Also, at the moment, the angle of the mirror is pointing upwards and I'm a bit worried that since the seals are now not tight that waters going to get in and I've now got a rust problem waiting to happen. How much should I expect to pay for a replacement and how easy are they to fit?

halfords used to do a mirror that you cut to size and stick on the broken mirror glass
there ok as a temp but bad to try and look behind in the mirror
as for water getting in a bit of sealent untill you can get a proper mirror unit would do the trick

hope its some help for you :y

cheers guys,
Looks like my best option is to replace the whole unit. Its a cdx in like a charcoal(smoke?) grey on an S plate so thats the mini facelift I think. Vauxfan2 or ngrainqey, how much would you want for one and how do I go about paying you as Im not on paypal and Im not that familiar with the forum on contacting members direct. Thanks again everyone for the prompt replies.
