well done ,I recently moved into a similar job from factory type work and am finding it o.k. although the nightshifts take a bit of getting used to.

But mate that the whole point of doing nights...you get ya head down and kip.

Think the best ive done on a 15 hour shift was 12 hours a kip.

Normaly average 6/7 hours...unless im wide awake then its just poker poker and poker all night...lol.

So, let me get this right. The oofers who are on here all the time work in either; security, IT or a Bank. That rather explains a lot

security at an IT company in my case.I lock myself in the building and if anyone comes on site (visible on cctv) ring the police.If anyone attempts to enter the building,lock myself ib a "safe"room and ring the police.bloody hard graft I tell ya.

they told me that the control centre will phone every 2 hours to check on me and i think i'll give it at least 2 days before i have a kip
 

They will phone you..?

Ok we do it the other way round....not i bother much....well im the one who checks and keeps the check call sheets so ummmmm  

Do you mind me asking what kind of site your on....?

Guessing by the steelies its not Office bound like mine. :-/

Sounds good...hope you enjoy it mate,just remember theres no shame in running away (Fight or flight from the course) and calling the old bill.

I do....used too have pc and net supplied when looking after the data centre,now its laptop and 3G dongle.

just get sacked from your present job and then hunt in desperation for somthing else,it worked for me.

With no responsibility and all that overtime, what is your point? I could sit in a safe place all night and monitor cameras and oof, when can I start...........

The downside it makes you lazy....couldnt face doing the old job i had previous too this.

Oh and if your a big bloke...you"ll become a big fat bloke,eat alot drink alot of coffee and smoke a lot.
