A lot of members seem to be having problems with their security software lately. I'm wondering if it's because some of this free stuff doesn't work well with others. I'm running:

AVG 7.5
AD-AWARE Anniversary edition
Zone Alarm
Windows Defender

All seems to work together pretty well.

I prefer to use the proper Norton Anti virus or firewall for things like this. I don't think £20-£40 per year is a bad investment. used to use AVG but that was a long time ago.

Ahh, I don't like Norton.  >:( AVG, Windows Firewall and hardware firewall all the way for me!

Seen a friend completely locked out of his pc by Norton once. Couldn't delete it, update it, create a new user account etc. Wasn't pretty.  :-/
