any ideas the best way and healthy way to gain weight, im down quite a bit and need to get back up. i'd like to put about 3 stone on by june. are the drink supplements any good ??
first off, you'll struggle to gain 3 stone in "good" weight by June but simple changes in diet/lifestyle will have a noticable change to your physique.
Its not too difficult to put on weight but for this you need to have a calorie excess ie eat more than your body requires (2500 cals) per day.
To make use of this extra calorie intake and prevent it turning to fat it would be ideal to include some exercise (not too much cardio as you'll just burn off the calories) more weight/resistance training 2-3 times a week.
as you train, your body will need more fuel to grow..so more food equals more fuel which in turn helps the body to grow.
drinks can assist in weight gain but be sure to buy a good quality brand as cheaper ones are just full of sugar. a simple protein drink 2-3 times a day will aid the repair and growth of muscle.
I used to weigh 13.5 stone 7 years ago and now weigh 17st 8lb. slow, hard work but worth it if thats what you want.
