Mine spent it's first 12 months as a motorway patrol car - 62k in 12 months! It then spent the next 8 years of it's life as a skid-pan training car. Hence it's low mileage of 83k today.

Hope the suspension has been replaved!

These pan cars spend as much time sideways and backwards as they do forwards, and the paintowrk can really end up manky and faded/scratched........

Yeah, I've got the work sheet for the car from Plod - lot's of suspension replacements! I've had to replace the rear shocks as they had worn through and snapped at the bottom, where the bolts go through. I can only imagine that the wear was caused by constant impact with speeds humps grinding the bottom as it's the lowest point of the car. Handles alright for an old girl, brakes are great (Pagid - no fade on the 'ring at all) and the engine is a peach.

Got this today...

Mr Wollaston

I'm afraid our info on this car has been deleted.  I am fairly sure it
was a traffic car as I have found reference to its sister car V811GAB as
a traffic car.

Hope this helps.

Now why am I humming the song from Beavis & Butthead do America...  *lesbian seagull*  ;D

So... chances of being ex-traffic is quite high!

Can give you the exact car details if you like - still has all the markings visible including the huge numbers on the roof!

As for the LSD, most did have LSD including the later 3.2's.

Its this that makes them appear faster as they are a slightly lower ratio than the mass production cars.

And a bit lighter too.

Possibly....they were no lighter in police use though due to the extra kit.

Did a bit of working out... depending on the ratio of the LSD, when coupled with an AR35 slushy, theoretical top speed varies from 164mph to 178mph (at around 6500rpm)

Although I can't see it ever going that fast  ;D

True enough although now without all the kit (mine at least) is a poverty-spec GLS, with few toys; no A/C, Bose Stereo, electric windows etc etc. All other 3.0 V6's on the road will be full-fat Elite spec. No idea of the weight difference but it won't be inconsiderable.

Got a GPS confirmed 152mph in Germany in mine, with a misfire and engine down on power. Would imagine 155+mph should be possible with suitable road/weather conditions. There was still some revs left on the engine but I only have V-rated tyres so didn't want to push it!
