I would be amazed if any insurance company agreed to repair that.
Apart from the obvious panel damage,there are probably quite a few damaged components between the bumper and the front of the engine block,not to mention front chassis legs/inner wings etc;
If they let you keep it you could make a few quid by breaking it though.
having recently sold a Mundaneo I would never advise anyone to buy one.Depends on your budget though.If I wanted reliability above character I would buy Japanese.If you enjoy a bit of tinkering under the bonnet,than you could do worse than another Omega,someone on here got a nice one with LPG a few days ago for under a grand. :y

Well I'm not technically minded, to the point where I throw myself and various body parts at my local Vauxhall Masterfit dealer every six months.  At least I've built up a good relationship with the Service Manager.

I have no idea if this is true or not .... but I was told some while back (about 8 years) that :

If the fault is not yours and you are claiming off the other parties insurance DIRECTLY, they cannot use the "market value" clause in the contract ... because YOU have no contract with them. The only contract that exists is between their client and themselves. You have the right to insist that the car is returned to the state is was immediately prior to the incident.

If you claim via YOUR insurance then the clause can be invoked by YOUR insurers, as you have a contract with them, and it is up to them how they claim from the other parties insurers.

This all came about when the Granada was rear ended and they wanted to write it off, I was about to try this attack, after rejecting my insurers offer, when they appointed an independent assesor who decided he would not write it off and it was then repaired, without me taking this approach. As I say .. might be a load of rubbish ... any Insurance Claims Experts among us ???

To try and cut a long story short, I had an accident last week at a set of traffic lights where I hit another car.  Hopefully everything should go in my favour as I had right of way and the third party performed a right turn when they saw a gap in the traffic and clearly didn't expect to see me!

Anyway, it's all going through the insurance and I had the expected letter yesterday saying that it was a "total loss".

So, another Omega bites the dust.  Bit of a shame given that two weeks ago it had been serviced and MOT'd.

Here's some pictures of the damage:

If the same happened to me & i saw the Beastie looking like that i'd lose it, drag him out of his car...red mist...police van...handcuffs...mind your head son...sat in a cell picking teeth out of my knuckles.
    You've got more self control than me mate. :(

In my case there was no one to claim against or anyone claim against me as I was the third accident on the scene with no one else involved. I just decided to modify the crash barrier then spin a 180 degrees and slide sideways past the fire engine and upturned car in lane 1.

What you cannot see on the first picture is that the road is actually sheet ice, it was nearly impossible to stand up on it. The upturned car was acccident 2, out of shot there are two cars up the embankment - accident 1 and behind the fire engine are another sixteen vehicles - accident 4.
