Is there 2 different types of wood?

For the interior of your car as my centre console is not rough but rough and the gear surround is smooth they look the same just wasn't sure :-/

Don't know about you TD but mine was hand carved from the finest walnut, polished by angels and lovingly installed by ........ an odious little man from Vx, who nicked the walnut and stuck this cheap plastic stuff on instead. >:(

LSG your right there are several types, i have noticed around 3 finishes.

My '00 CD has a 'Matt' wood effect, my dads '01 CD has a more 'Glossy' finish to the wood and is a darker shade. There are several differences in the grain too.

However its plastic.... so at least Omega's don't get wood worm!  ;D

Plastic is a natural product, so the final hue will vary depending on the forest the plastic was harvested from...  ;D
