I was looking at signums today, was interested in a 2.2 oil burner. But the dealers think that it's ok to charge a massive premium for diesel. The 3.2 elites were about 30% cheaper. I actually told the salesman at Evans Halshaw to f**k off ::)

nice one would have loved to see his face ;D

Well, my dad has one as you've discovered. TBH, I'd rather have an Omega estate. Space is comparable. Perhaps a few more cubby holes and the like in the back of the Volvo as there's no mechanicals back there being a girly WRD car.

Interior is bland but reasonably solid.

Nothing like as refined as a V6 Omega. The 5 cylinder engine needs revving and it's a bit vocal when pushed. Autobox is 5 speed but that's more than made up for by a more flexible engine in the Omega.

Parts and servicing costs for Volvos are madness, IMHO.

Time for a change for me, I think. Has anyone had one of these and can you point me in the direction of things I should be looking out for. Harrats give a one year warranty with all vehicles so should be ok.

Grateful for any input. Ta.

I know where there is a nice Saab 9000 going cheap ;)

The link no longer works so hope they sold it for your sake. The auto box you know about, just to add the throttle body is also very dodgy and volvo want 600 to fit a new one, they may give you 300 towards it under warranty.

The same c70 on the thread you quoted is on its 3rd item, same t5 engine, we managed to recon at bba for 230 ish iirc, but they had two attempts as the first one didnt work... >:(  the whole throttle body issue has been on watch dog on the bbc. AVOID...BIG TIME.

I hated Volvos as a biker and i rather detest them and their mangment as a son in law trying to fix the blasted thing. End of rant.
