It'll do the job but I must confess I love pulling our Pikey Palace with the 3.0 V6... It's just effortless and leaves everything standing on the hills

It's even easier with a 3.2 ...  Effortless, quiet, comfortable .. and cruise control is mandatory to prevent exceeding the speedlimits...

The miggy is the hardest car in the world to drive at 50 mph !!!!! it just keeps wanting to go faster, despite having 1600Kgs hanging off the back !!

I know what you mean... I normally set the cruise at an indicated 60 on the Motorways and it doesn't drop from that regardless of the terrain

Did have a few "How Fast am I going" moments once off the Motorways and Dual Carriageways though... Better slow down methinks

Don't forget when you've a van on the back, it's not a case of how fast you can make it go, but more importantly, how fast you can make it stop!  

Yep... Totally agree The brakes on the Omega are plenty man enough for the job though and although I have said what I have above, it is only where there is enough clear road ahead to do so

I have lots of towing experience in lots of different situations and completely understand what you mean

Went all around France, Germany, Austria for a month, never had a problem with the Carlton 2.2 auto box.
