I feel everyone is free to join any group they choose to but for members of two or more groups it will result in a dilution of quality, since your surf time would be split between 2+ groups. This forum is the best of its kind on the planet and i think all members should share/concentrate their knowledge on here because it is first and foremost a site dedicated to maintaing your omega and the chatroom stuff comes second

whats facebook? That gay thing that all the students cream their jeans over?  I think I'll give it a miss....  ;)

Was warned you would probably give it a miss lol, no problem though :y
I have far too much other stuff to deal with than join yet another internet community  :-[

Members are free to do as they wish, but we need to be careful against splitting the community here -    which is the reason we have always rejected putting a chatroom on here...

If you look at the layout of facebook you will see that it would be very difficult for anything like that to happen ;)
never ever logged on to fb, wouldn't know....  :-[

Example :- The Omega/Senator owners group has been going for nearly 2 years and has approx 35 members :o

Easy we have 40 at the last count and it's not been 24 hours yet  ;D ;D

That's right and I hope they all enjoy themselves :y :y

However Radar, don't worry about the "dilution" factor as believe me anyone over 25 years old will soon realise how childish and pointless being on Face Book is.

I tried it for two years to try and keep in with the young crowd at uni, but you soon get bored of giving and receiving virtual gifts, tedious (to somebody over 30 at least!) teenage chat, problems with boyfriends / girlfriends and their spots, constant invitations to join some group or another, and the new Fb layout has not helped either ::) ::) ::)

For people of mature years one Forum, the magnificent OOF, is quiet enough! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

you don't meet up with old schoolfriends on OOF no matter how cool it is.
      You cannot compare the two.

So whats your gripe as you are totally contradicting yourself to be honest.

And point 2 is most people have no intension of leaving the oof but as you said it's their choice to be members of two or even more groups, plus we have links on our group directing people to this group and hence that can only be a good thing :y :y :y :y

Anyway the site is up and running now, and is just a bit of fun, i dont use the normal facebook that often to be honest anyway only to keep in touch with old friends etc.

The Omega Owners Group is just for fun and most of the members are from the OOF anyway and we have no intension of leaving for any other group.......come i'm on OOF daily now and cant get enough :y
