Not sure if I heard it right, but Im sure Cameron said that Darlings borrowing for the next 2 years is more than the total borrowings of every previous chancellors borrowings combined. :-/ :o :o

You are right Albitz.  In fact the £348 billion to be borrowed overall is apparently the greatest amount by any chancellor, all combined, since the creation of the Bank of England over 300 years ago!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I watched the David Cameron speech that Lizzie posted and it fizzed my liver to see it.

DC is quite rightly stating that the UK's borrowing is out of control, and the two monkeys (Broon and Darling) sat across from him are sitting there laughing and sniggering to each other like bloody school children.

Rediculous. >:(

And breathe......

Apologies, should have used a later model for figues.

The tax applies to cars first registered on or after 1 March 2001.

I imagine the 2000/01 emisions will be fairly similar regardless.
2001-2006 06 or later get the real hefty tax prices read all the stuff here : http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/
According to this a 3.2 Elite Auto will cost £245 for a years rent in 2010 and less this year.

And they just said on the news we're all in debt, well not everyone is the government is not me and a lot of other people aren't, no loans, nothing on finance etc etc, i'm sure it's the same for many others!!
I hate this government and to be honest I think I always will they have got the country into this mess and why should we get it out of the mess that it is in  >:(

He is introducing a "spite" tax-50% for people who earn over 150k,its just playing to the gallery again, seriously rich people simply send their money out of the country when Labour governments try to take it off them, they always have and they always will. And they may well leave the country at the same time as their money does,so the wealth creators get driven out of the country at the time when they atre needed most.
The situation is much worse than he is admitting to ,as he is basing his figures on an assumption of 3.25% growth in the economy in about 3 years time which really is cloud cuckoo land.
rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic comes to mind.

Not being funny but just because people have a lot of money doesn't mean they should pay for the governments cock ups!!!
