I personaly wish the council would kick Forest off thier site (which is vastly over funded by the tax payer i.e. me) and build a nice big Tesco.

Notts County I have a soft spot as I do for a few others (Port Vale, Northampton Town, Aston Villa - Your lot!)
Villa have outperformed this year, but as I said earlier, lost their mojo in last 2 months, as they do every year. Shame, be good to see them in Europe again  :'(

I know your favourite team is really those just the other side of the M1 to Nottingham  :P

And how come Forest get council backing, surely its a private business?

Council own the plot of land and paid for the Trent End to be built (and are still paying).

The only thing Forest own is a debt!

Blimey :o

I can understand local 'community/amateur' clubs getting help from local council, eg being allowed a loan of the land, but not a (once) massive club like Forest :o.

I know there are government grants for local clubs as well..

Lol, yes well......the 'once mighty' Forest was milked during the good years and they never bought the ground.

Then along came the euros in the 90's and the council funded the Trent End to get some games in Nottingham.

And now they are skint with no assets to secure the loans against!  ;D

Please keep your laughter to yourself but i support Middlesbrough  :(

After a bright start to the season it quickly became apparent that we were useless at both ends of the field, not a perfect combination for Premiership survival.

The only thing that would lighten my mood would be seeing Newcastle join us in the second tier...come on Pompy  :D

Leeds United and Chester City. Leeds are doing OK but Chester look like they're out of the league :'(

Can I just point out Pete its Super Leeds United, marching on together Leeds,Leeds,Leeds ;D ;D ;D We're going up wi Graysons Army :y :y

Cant see Leeds getting through the playoffs.

Not with MK Dons in the pack.

Still, Leicester City got promoted so I am happy (and hopefully the Forest scum will get relegated!)
Leeds beat them 2.0 a couple of weeks ago :)

Its Newcastle United for me. Alan Shearer will be on match of the day next season, and Newcastle won't. Never mind it's not far to Blackpool, Sheffield,Barnsley,Burnley, Doncaster etc.
I'm off to the match now, playing Portsmouth tonight, its live on Setanta if anyone has nothing better to do,I will be behind the goal, slightly to the right and wearing a black & white top, I'll shout OOF if there is an attempt on goal at anytime during the 90 minutes( highly unlikely ) Sections of the crowd are being given free scarves tonight, don't know why.

I think after tonight, they should take all the Newcastle fans laces and belts off them and forget giving scarves out ;D

Any lingering doubts that we could avoid the drop have now vanished, we were crap and deserve relegation, if you knew my passion for the Toon you would know how much that hurts me to say it. Biggest cheer of the evening went to the designer of the paper aeroplane ( made from the black / white cards left on the seats to hold up )which made it onto the pitch from level 7 of the Leazes end, and that is a long way. Thats how exciting it was.

Makes no odds.....you need to win ideally 3 games in a row to get through the play offs.... ;D ;D ;D

So the relevant results are:

Leeds 2-0 MK Dons
(HT 1-0)
Leeds 2-0 Millwall
(HT 1-0)
MK Dons 3-1 Leeds
(HT 2-0)
Millwall 3-1 Leeds
(HT 1-1)
SLady bitshorpe 1-2 Leeds
(HT 0-0)
Leeds 3-2 SLady bitshorpe
(HT 2-1)
Leeds 3-1 Tranmere
(HT 2-1)
Tranmere 2-1 Leeds
(HT 1-1)

All a bit close, I fancy Millwall given current form!

Chester City soon to be relegated again (first team ever to be relegated from the football league twice I believe!) and a passing interest in Leeds as well
To the starter of this topic, my close mate Wayne Brown plays in goal for Bury, he's very confident they will go up this year
