I'd get it from Vaux on TC... just a personal preference. eBay has its uses..... but not for critical components on my car imo. I'd fit it to project cars, but not my own  ;) :y

I'll ring the dealer tomorrow and get some prices and see what they say  :y

To be honest tunnie, if it's a contitech kit with SKF bearings, which most are, then it's gonna be the same stuff the dealer would supply anyway.

Either way, good luck  :y

just rang the dealer, water pump is £31.33 + vat... grand total for cambelt kit & water pump = £131.40  :'(

I take it the kit comes with tensioners, although I did not see any when I had the cam cover off.

Yeah, pump would be £35 ish inc (v6 one around £25).  The cambelt kit includes tensioners etc (cambelt on its own is £27 + VAT, not that any sane person would only change this)

Try autovaux they supply Vx GM kit and although mine is a 2.0 litre I got both belt kit and waterpump for about £98 so worth a look. Price maybe similar being a 2.2 shouldn't be too much more.

Autovaux supplied me a bilstein waterpump which I had my doubts and contacted vx and they were going to sell me the same part for an extra £30 or something silly like that.

Perhaps after uni when I get stuck into projects again, we can go 50/50 on the big barrels of anti-free, oil ect.....
