This one is just north of Norwich and is like real camping used to be when you were a Boy Scout!

Fantastic little known camp site where you can burn wood on an open fire all night long!

And the people who run it are brilliant, you even have the run of the big hall that is on the camp site and the use of a fridge and cooking gear.

I've taken my 3 teenage kids a couple of times and we reckon it is the best camp site in England!

If you go in the school holidays the place is empty, they even provide the fire wood, it really is camping as it used to be years ago.

That surprises me, as I would have thought that Cubs, Scouts, and other youth groups would have been using it........... :-/ :-/

I think because it is set up as an educational camp it works on the same time scale as the schools,  all I know is in the school holidays it is empty apart from families.

Try this website,James-www.fforestfields.co.uk. It's in mid Wales, just outside Builth Wells.Ticks all your boxes.Have three dogs and no problem with them at all.Miles and miles of walking.been going there for about 7 years with tent, trailer tent and caravan which now is on a seasonal pitch.       Terry
