Seconded Richie.
I for one don't like football & never will. I just see these expensive figures being payed out for players, which to me make no sense. The only thing that is true is that the fans are being ripped off big time by the clubs by charging expensive prices for merchandize & ticket prices etc.

and they change the kit so often all it does is put the parents and the supporters out of pocket keeping up with it, nobody gains except the clubs and the manufacturers. most of man utds supporters are plastic. support them as there the top team and have no intention of ever going to see them play. they are the ones who line there pockets. i always thought you supported your local team. i support QPR and always will do and used to go and see them every week but i will not play extortionate prices to watch them play now.

Agreed Richie  :y

I am Salford born and bred and have supported Man Utd all my life. Problem is I cannot afford the extortionate prices for a ticket to go and see my team!  :'(

80mill sounds a lot for a player but when you compare that to what the top baseball and basketball players get in the the US it seems like loose change ;) ;) ;)But truth beknown i wouldnt mind some of the loose change from them
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/more/specials/fortunate50/2007/ and this is only for a year

take away the sponsorship money and just look at salary/winnings (who knows what Ronaldo gets in terms of sponsorship) and even Tiger is scraping by - if you can scrape by on "just" $12m  ;)
