It will get done.....I can always leave Laidback66 doing MaxV6's handbrake whilst I do the cambelt...then fit yours in....

Brill, I shall definitely see you all there then :) Be good to put faces to names, even if I have only been a member / omega owner for just over a day

Lets leave it that I will do the V6 belt change on this one at Tunnie's.. unless things don't go to plan, and then we'll shout for help.

I don't anticipate it being a problem, but we can't take on my more than we've already got - I was budgeting for yours!!

it is going to be tight.. won't have time for the scrappy but I reckon we can fit it all in, main jobs at our location:

my belt, pump, aux belt

ClarCE - belt, pump, aux belt
CraigR - lambda (thats if u can get the sensor off)
Taxi Driver - belt, pump, aux belt.

TD said he would come over for lunch time ish.. so that should work out ok.

I can help strip and and put things back together...

I don't think that bolt has caused the problem, I don't see that coming out either without some professional equipment.

We are starting first thing in the morning on mine, hopefully get it done and out of the way!

We'll see... but.. I still think with that back cover removed we may have a sporting chance.

whatever happens with that bolt may have to be off the camera though, because it likey won't be pretty or professional ;)

James

Is It going to be ok for you to get the Exhaust down to tunnies from the cat down to the back box. Will it fit in your car i was thinking the only way you could get it in is to put it into its separate parts or do you only want to bring the lambda sensor i thought it would be just quicker to swap your exhaust on to my car than try and get the lambda sensor out of both exhausts and mine is sounding rather loud, how much do you want for it about ? PM me if you dont want to post on here.

THANKS

Craig

i think the exhaust was not in great shape, hence trying to get the bugger out!

Hello mate, I do have to make something from breaking these cars, so it would be £10 for the lambda sensor, or £25 with the cat, incl sensor.

I should know on Friday what I can get off ;)

I just want to check I've got everything I need if poss - this will be un-technical, so bare with me..

Cam belt change - timing kit includes belt, what i assume is the tensioner (metal thing with 2 wheels on it) bag of bolts, additional wheel thing

Aux belt - just the belt

Water Pump - just the pump

Antifreeze (5L)

you should have an 'O' ring with the water pump ... Vx P/N 90354908 (pump should be Vx P/N 90543277)

also silicone grease to spray on the pump to block mating surface - but I'm bringing a spray can of that ... well "white lithium grease" which I think is the same thing?

Its not the same thing but, a light smear will do just as good a job.

Tunnie, do I need to put me easy outs and tap kit in the car as well for this 'damaged' stud of yours....

Hmm, I've got a feeling that theres no o-ring in with it, unless its attached to the pump already..
