Don't forget, on top of that lot, you have to do Tunnie's cambelt as well  :o ;)

Yep, if I'm the cambelt "specialist" then we can't take on anymore ;)

Mine is getting done first  ;)

Once I see mine being done, I should be able to get stuck into others  :y

I take it 4pots don't need timing kits...  :-/

I have a 4 pot cam locking tool which is in my toolbox......dont forget to mark the position of the notch in the water pump on the block before removing it....there have been a few varients of block casting and on some its possible to fit the water pump in-correctly making it impossible to tension the belt correctly.

I'd like to point out that on Saturday I am on cover, so if anyone goes sick at work I may get called back. It's VERY VERY unlikely, but it does happen, so I must prepare for this fact.

Happy to do the V6 belt, but we need a locking kit.

I think this thread is closed now, until after the event :)

Shall I get a locking kit?

Craig, I will have a camera so I can snap away too....

ClarCE - Not sure how much the locking kits are  :-/

If they are only a few quid might be worth getting one, however if expensive I am sure we can borrow one  :y

I must request, please don't take the piss out of me on the camera - I'm extremely camera shy as it is, and the thought of being on a video cam scares me witless..

But I'll do it for OOF  :-/ ;D

no .. that's for the 2 litre lumps - just a locking tool.

The V6 equivalent is a locking KIT - there's much more to it - typical new price is about £120 (£160 here, but there was a seller that had them for about £50 a year or so ago, which got advertised on the forums and sold out !!!

4 pot is a simply locking kit, similar to the one we used on Rover Tunnie. Less than a tenner.

v6 one is a more complex affair, cost around £60 upwards.

I've got a 4 pot cam locking tool you can borrow, I'll give it to Mark on Friday, and he can bring it over.
