BIG thanks to jamesv6cdx
« on: 03 March 2007, 16:19:51 »

Just like to say a HUGE thanks to James.  The Gearbox Selector Switch I bought from him did the trick.  My Omega is now running smoothly once more.

Thanks James  :y :y :y :y

EVEN BIGGER thanks to jamesv6cdx

I'd like to second "ste"'s nomination for James's canonisation.... (Sainthood to you plebs  :y )   He just spent the majority of his weekend getting and fitting bits to my car, of the most obstinate and frustrating nature (Stat housing and transfer pipe) ......  a Job that seems to have finally solved my coolant loss issues....

I can now take my car into rush hour traffic on the morning school run, with no fear of instantaneous melt down....  much to my Children's relief....  as they get an hour's xtra kip (and so do I !! for which I'm eternally grateful! ) and travel in the style to which they've become accustomed....

James, Maria forgot her second bottle of Archer's mate.....  ;)

sorry it all got a bit hectic....   My Brother in law's diary only had today empty for the next couple of weeks , and i need to get that studio built....... quite desperately... i have jobs for it booked in 8 weeks.

The stat housing was definately leaking, because when plenum came off there was coolant pooling around it...

New stat fitted and stat seal.. coolant transfer pipe o-rings renewed (pipe itself was OK, and I broke the breakers one)... all went together seamlessly, the only snag being that bolt on the transfer pipe being hard to get to and skinning my arms ;D

Ive found a knack now, (which involves moving the PAS reservior and sitting on the engine!) so next time will be much easier...

Do let us know how it goes...
