You've got me thinking back to better, more innocent times now K - I had to destroy all my photographs.

All the faces of some very fine people I knew now but a distant memory.

I'd forgotten about the uniform and consequently about whom I was a young man, unaware of the obscure and unpleasant nature of 'other duties' yet to come but approaching them with a willing openness, knowing that I had left a formative part of my life behind forever.

I'm still trying to decide if it was worth it.

I know exactly what you mean Zulu. And, coincidentally, I think this is my only surviving picture of that life. A time past in many ways.

I like to concentrate (and mourn) the innocence of the times.
