i dont sleep unless i have a drink. im a very stressful person and have so much going on in me head to relax. didnt get to sleep till 5 this morning, mind you i didnt get in till 4.30am.  ;) ;D ;D

Having a couple of nightcaps before bedtime helps, but it not something you can do everynight, and although you fall asleep quicker, its not a good sleep.  Nightnurse and whisky is a particularly good combination for me, need it about an hour before I go to sleep. Usually excessively grumpy next morning though.


My mum does the coffee before bedtime, and that works for her - mind, her doctor has told her she is addicted to caffine.


Mrs TB is one of those lucky ones, as soon as her head hits the pillow, she's asleep 

Ah yes........ caffeine TB.........that well known STIMULANT cure  for insomnia :D ;D ;) ;)
Agree, its strange, but just goes to show how different we all are.  I suspect in her case its more habit/routine than anything else

Don't read in bed either, apparently it stimulates the brain into further activity, same goes for watching telly in bed.

My body clock's all over the shop too, due to my shift pattern. I'm up for work at 4am some days, then not in bed until after 1am other days. Goes with working on the railways I suppose.

PS: Try attending Newent 2010.
I get a good night's kip after the 'TB Quiz', Bob Dent's BBQ, and a few bottles of Newcastle Brown.

Entwood substitutes the latter with some single malt variety!
I think I may have nearly fallen asleep whilst doing the quiz ::)

I have great difficulty getting to sleep on a Sunday night when I'm on 'earlies' on a Monday - like I should be tomorrow (0515 actual start on Monday with a 10-hour busy shift too). Nothing on my mind, but just can't get to sleep.

My plan of action's simple - swop for a week of afternoons!
This has also yealded more good fortune for moi - our friendly roster clerk has now booked me out on a late Sunday 'spare' turn, (with enhanced payment), into the bargain!!!!!
