A euro will soon only be worth a pound so no doubt that will be when it is "adopted". At least people won't then be ripped off changing money back and forth to just visit another part of the EU!

But Chinese banking sources say their discussions have gone too far to be blocked now. "The Russians will eventually bring in the rouble to the basket of currencies," a prominent Hong Kong broker told The Independent. "The Brits are stuck in the middle and will come into the euro. They have no choice because they won't be able to use the US dollar." '

You should join the euro to make it cheaper for me to buy omegas from britain.  ::)

I remember the last time we changed our currency, we went from 240 pennies in the pound to 100 pennies in the pound, halved the value of my pocket money overnight, and why, just to make sums easier..... >:(

My dad said when we joined the euro that he was only getting used to decimalisation   ;D
