Forget the mother of the other driver, your next problem is going to be when the insurance write back and say that your other half obviously realised the car was stopping (because she stopped herself)......but why did she stop so close that another car was able to shunt her in to the car in front when she would have had the handbrake on.

Before you go off on another "why are you finding fault with what I say" 'dangle berries', I ain't having a pop.
I'm just letting you know that insurance companies WILL find some unheard of shit and use that against you in order to attempt to reduce the payout.

PS

Maybe you should change the topic title, because not all women drivers are shit.

give us a break Killerwatt thats a blatant lie and you know it   :y

Never good to hear someones had an accident but good news no one was hurt too bad. Even if your better half isnt feeling to bad I would also suggest a trip to the doctors just so its on record. Id like to think Im a good driver and I dont think I fall in the girl driver group, more of the mature woman ;)

I think it was just a case of her not taking any notice of what was going on. A witness - who stopped - said that she seemed to not make any attempt to brake!

Tyres and Tarmac, and it is quite a gap... :y
 .....

way after my (test) time ....    ;)  ;)  ;)

Advanced Test 1990.......... :P :P :P
As per Vamps, advanced test.

There are quite a few who think the advanced test is anal, but it makes you think a lot more about what you are doing (mainly because you have to explain what you do, and why you are doing it as you go).

Which is why I failed the Hazard Perception Test :-[ tiral test taken to support my 17 year old, it seems I got low scores because I spotted / anticipated hazards too early and certainly spotted more than expected, this is a totally unfair and crap thing for kids to be doing, how can I support him on this.... >:(

The hazard perception test isn't worth shit, never has been worth shit, and never will be worth shit.
The reason for that is quite simple....a computer (even with so called "real life" video footage) will NEVER be able to simulate real time human behaviour/actions/reactions/etc.

This is getting eerie!  :-? That's twice I've agreed with you tonight!
I've only done the tests from the CD/DVD that No 1 daughter had before she took her test, no advanced tests for me  :-/ - but I thought all driving involved hazard perception  :-/  :-/ :y

Not quite following you :-[  tests today require a Hazard Perception Test on a computer simulator...  In the past, for advanced driving, you gave a commentary as you drove, much better, but might me hard for a new learner :-/  Try it to yourself, there are so many hazards that it is difficult to get them out verbally as you drive... :)
How did you get on with the cd/dvd test, I failed more than once..... :(

I looked at the hazard perception when Emily/no 1 daughter was looking to take her test, I passed ..... but only just  :o. As you say, driving in general  poses all sorts of hazards so it was difficult to tell whether you'd seen what was required of you, or whether you'd seen something else.  :-/
I've seen the comentery that the likess of H21 would have been expected to give, and although I hope I would have seen all the so called hazards, it's not always easy to drive & comment at the same time ......

I'm sure women would fair better .... talking & doing something else does appear to be a lot easier for the fairer sex  ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)  ;D  :y

You think correctly.

All this computerised test shit is just that, it's shit.

I'm guessing you've been driving a number of years, now you tell me....all the shit you've learnt over your driving career......you reckon that can be taught in an hour watching a DVD?

Course it can't.
There is NO test that can make anyone a good driver, it's just one continuous lesson from the day we pass the basic test that proves we can start, stop, & steer....until the day we stop driving.
