Yep, you asked for it, and now you got it. James did something bad..........

Try buying petrol, and forgetting to pay for it. And then driving off.

Nice little brush with the law that was ;D

ain;t BAD, it's just a little daft,

I did almost exactly the same thing last week. I got backj in the car, started the engine, put it in drive, and was just lifting off the brake....

 and the kids say...

Dad, aren't you going to pay??

WHOOOPS!

Cue one very embarrassed moment at the check out....  as they start to take details and what not the moment the car begins to move......

had to explain that my mind was elsewhere momentarily, and that the kids reminded me.....

it aint tuppence hapenny's worth either when you fill an omega's tank is it !

In DEVELOPED countries they have these things called credit card readers on the pumps.  Makes things a lot easier, including not having to wait for the guy in front of you to go in and pay before moving off from the pump.  ::)

I'm an ASDA boy myself, use the credit card pump there.

There are whole petrol stations in the states with no people.  Credit card pumps and CCTV.  At the rest even if the place is shut at 3am you can still use the credit card pumps and buy fuel.  Almost every pump is a credit card pump in the states.

Twice I have scared people

Once moved car as I was blocking a couple of pumps, went in to pay and they were panicking getting ready to call the police ect.

Other I filled up with two different pumps again confusing them but it was easy to fill both at the same time

They have them in France too. You roll up, put your card in, it realises you aren't French and spits your card out again  >:(

Try driving down to the Lot region on a Sunday (even less cashiers in petrol stations) when it's pi$$ing down with rain, your car has a very leaky soft top and a range of 120 miles until it's on vapours again. A memorable journey that was!

Still, it was worth it when we got there and the weather cooperated :)
