No madness at all Nick, urine is good for compost heaps, and saving water is allways good.

Of course, I'm sure it's fine and dandy for the compost. In essence, I don't have a problem with "natural" organic additives.

Actually, I made an error in the original post. It was the mad headline that I meant to draw attention to. I pasted it along with the first part of the story, then it looked like a duplication, so I cut the headline.

I'm afraid I was always drawn to the map of Tassie  - eventually did for me

if you drank 12 pints of fruit juice, would it still have the same effect as 12 pints of lager???

I have always peed on my compost heap, that along with acquiring plenty of worms ensures a lovely compost

By the way I do this for good compost not to reduce flushing as I normally have to flush twice for a no 2 anyways
