Thanks guys... She's got some nice bruises coming out :y :y

I think she'll probably feel worse tomorrow than at the moment but has improved during the day. I still have to help her get up though.

Theres only one thing for it mate. You will have to learn to cook. nothing wrong with a bloke that can cook.

Hope your wife gets better soon mate, she is lucky in a way that nothing else happened.

Sorry I've come to this thread rather late. My best wishes for Emma. I trust she will be back to sterling health soon (for her sake and, clearly, for yours too!)

Thinking about it, Mrs. KW had a similar accident when we were on a skiing holiday once. Got out of the hot tub to turn the bubbles on (on a hotel roof @ -20 deg.c) and slipped over on the inevitable ice. Landed flat on her back.

The bruising looked gruesome at first but she made a pretty rapid recovery and was back on her snowboard after a couple of days (shopping!).

She's very stiff this morning but the bruising is coming out nicely, which can only be a good thing :y :y

GD - I am actually quite a good cook but I'm not normally allowed in the kitchen, except to wash up ::) ::) ;) ;)

Me neither. Whilst I am allowed in the kitchen I just find I receive too much advice unless I'm alone. :-X

If Mrs LD is taped to a plank of wood, I have a sack barrow you can borrow - sure you could prop her up in front of the cooker/sink/kettle?

No - the lovely Mrs LD is organised enough to be able to cope.  Admittedly she may have to rely on the utterly useless Lazydocker to post me this week's supply of the choccie brownies :P

Panic over guys... She's feeling much better. Still stiff but able to move.

Managed to go to Tesco for some shopping and collect my car this evening. She's even cooked dinner (with a little assistance) as my sympathy was wearing a little thin when she insisted she was going back to work tomorrow!

Brownies should be back on the menu for the weekend :y :y
