..............to go shopping in their pyjamas

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/8484116.stm     ;D ;D
Your report comes shortly after this which could justify the barefoot thing.

Pyjamas?  I guess you fall out of bed, go and buy some alcopops and crawl back in again?  Might be easier for trying clothes on but not so good for shoplifting.

Regardless of people's thoughts about shopping in pj's or not, and I have a friend who has often done it with a coat on top I add, here we go again............Tesco dictating to the customer what they should wear, along with their past "rules" on what people should buy and why!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Why is it that Tesco see fit to act as some public conscience and regulation enforcer???????   Have we voted them into government?  Are they not just another retailer?????

Where is any dress code going to stop? All men should wear ties and women must wear skirts......no veils......no jeans......no trainers......etc, etc, etc!

Who the bloody hell do they think they are?  They have got too big for their own good!! >:( >:( >:( They ARE JUST retailers!!

This is the reason why I am a Sainsbury shopper, and at times Waitrose or Asda, but NEVER a Tesco "slave"! >:( >:( >:( >:(

Kent, being the garden of england, I would have thought Tesco beneath the good people of Kent.
Sainsbury's, Yes, Waitrose even.
But Tesco, a definite NO NO.

normally I'd agree Liz, but on this occasion it's just lazy and unhygienic plus, and this is going to sound a bit snobbish, but I kinda know who they're aiming this at put it that way.

For some of us Diane yes, but I am afraid that their 'march' on our green pastures is like everywhere else; relentless and obscene! >:( >:(

I do think there are certain types of people whom need (Ahem!) 'guidance' as to what is considered decent when out and about in a public place:
I recall being in a Sainsbury`s store in Thanet (East Kent) last Summer and seeing the unedifying sight of a rotund middle-aged shopper; replete with sweaty body-hair matting to 'front and rear', walking `round the food store section, wearing ONLY a pair of 'Speedo' (well-undersized and 'seemingly' sprayed-on) swimming trunks. :o
.....put me right off buying my BBQ chipolatas, I can tell you!  :-[

Amen to that. I don't want to see people wandering around in their nightclothes, thanks. If you're going to go out in public at least have the decency to wear something presentable.  >:(

An oily set of overalls, like mine, for example. :y
