I would buy cars, lots and lots of cars. I would probably only keep them a little while, just stuff I've always wanted to go around in. V12 e-type, GT40, mustang old and new version (suped to the eyeballs), Hemi Cuda, MGB GT. Probably a single seater as well.

Then comes helping family, friends :)

I'm actually having the most fun thinking about how to break it to work. So far I have come up with arriving in a Lambo Murcielago with an exhaust loud enough to crack the windows. Then sending Ramsey into the work canteen. Then having a model act as my secretary and make me a cuppa. (I work in IT, virtually no women).

I am torn between either having a gaggle of lawyers bombard him and serve notice etc or two big burly bikers slapping a hand on his shoulder and saying "the boss wants a word".

Have decided on some alterations for my new pad.

Pub in the garden on the main road, extend the carpark up to the wharehouse, put a ramp and a pit in for the OOF meets, railway line and sideings to one side for bring in my impoted transport.

As well as the skid pad and dragstrip, convert the strip to land planes on, and build some rally stages, 4x4 off road rest track  and put in a kids and adult gokarts tracks.  Mini track for remote control cars, and a couple of fishing lakes,

Should be able to cater for most people at an OOF weekend.  Even the train fans, could even put in a pair of parallel tracks and drag race railed vehicles.  How's about 5000hp chinook turbine powered bogey.  ::)

I'd pay off the mortgage and other debts and give a million or so each to the children and some elderly relatives.

I'd convert the rest to golden treasures, put it all in a big pile and sleep on top of it for ever more.  Might get a mattress for comfort. :) :) :)

Suspect the wife might have other plans, though. :( :( :(

You wouldn't need it with that firepower, they would excrete some brown smelly stuff and run.  That is if the 50 cal doesn't hit their hull and sink em ;)

First off, i'd get in touch with Mr Travolta and make him an offer on his house:

http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_nov2004/Travolta_House.htm

http://jumbolair.com/

Do a Google Earth on it too, its amazing.

I would also do the usual, buy loads of cars, not just exotic, but the stuff i've always wanted to try. Pay off all my familys bills mortgages etc and set them up for life.

One thing I would do is put the wifes Audi 80 in to a proper restorers/tuners and spend a fortune putting the biggest most powerful diesel in it but leave it as close to stock looking as possible, she wouldn't mind, she'll have the brand new Range Rover and Audi A4 convertible to potter about in.

I would also ring all my debtors (and there are a few) and ask them the lowest amount they would accept, then try to beat them down, except Northern Rock, whom I shall pay in full, as they are the only human debtor out there, so far :o

Then I would get as far away as possible from this bloody awful country!

And what is wrong with the current Proliant?  I admit the cold standby (a P4 based desktop) can't hack it any more - OOF is too hard on disks for that...

But if anyone is offering, I'm on the lookout for an HP SMART Array P400 with 512Mb cache for the OOF server.  Needs to be one of the newer style ones where the connector is on the component side, not the older style where connector is on the other side, due to physical restraints in the server.  ::)

Buy a ticket first!

Funny how a big jackpot gets flocks of people entering despite having the same chance of winning as in a non rollover week.
