Help with pricing wheels
« on: 24 April 2010, 11:25:43 »

I'm not an alloy wheel junkie, and have absolutely no idea of what they are worth, so could do with some help in pricing them.  I have posted them in for sale sections, just had lots of PMs asking how much - but thats the point, I don't know.

I don't want to rip people off, and likewise, don't want to lose out too much myself.

Any help with pricing would be really useful :y

Allways an awkward one.  I paid £50 for for Elite wheels and tyres for a 99 Model not a facelft, tyres were legal but not much use left in them.  Reasonable nick and a bit of scuffing.  I would think any 15" allys thats got to be a reasonable base point.  Obviously less if more scuffing, or needs refurbing.

But more for alloys if off a newer car, better condition, better condition tyres.

Also alloy scrap valur needs taking into account, I sold some carton diplomat wheels before I joined the foum and got 80 squid from the scrap man.

The other thing Jamie is to let members PM you an offer then the best offer gets 4 wheels and tyres.   :y
[edit]
If you are happy with the offer that is.  ::)[/edit]

I personally hate ads with 'make me an offer' on, hence I'd like to put a guide price on, so people know the kind of figure we're looking for....

Shall we start the bidding at five of the Queens English pounds, a packet of Jaffa Cakes and something to keep Mrs TB's pussy amused. ;D
