To be honest buddy I dont think its a bargain, its about right for the car that it is, and personally I wouldnt put my money down on that particular car after pics posted of how it had been neglected before Di got it, meaning the air filter being black etc etc....

Hmmm... Nothing a couple of quick services wouldn't clear up IMO. It's had a very good going over since then :y

I'd consider parting with that sum for the right car, which for me wouldn't be gold/oyster ;)

So, we`re all agreed:

If it wasn`t a saloon, wasn`t 'that' colour, with 'that' history, priced at 'that' much, wasn`t so far away and wasn`t a 3.2, then......

...we`d have bought it! ;D

Having spoken to her, no she wont.

It;s allright putting the cars past down but she has since spent money on it via James and then had the springs fitted, and obviously has done work as and when required so actually making a better car for the next owner.

I think it's a perfectly good car, James has looked after it. Diane has been honest in its description.
Every car I've bought privately has had hidden faults, some minor...some major.
I'd buy it for £2150. Easily add £1000 to the price, nice amount of profit. I don't mind the colour actually but obviopusly prefer a blue or black, but couldn't live with that grill, I'd have to put a proper Vauxhall one on.
I say the best of luck to Diane  :y
It can be tricky selling a vehicle, sometimes it's best on ebay...sometimes it's best on autotrader.
I'd advise Diane to advertise it on 'AT' for £2750 or £2995.
Take some more photo's, and a thorough description and it won't take more than a week to sell.
It costs me £38 for two weeks on the 'AT' website with 1 week in the magazine, that's a trader price. Not sure if it's cheaper or more expensive for private sellers.

In Defence of my mother, I must say the following....
Foxycav, it seems that you come over as Jealous of my mother, jealous of what I do not know, maybe you would like to own her car, Who knows who cares, just jealous, as for the reason she did not sell it last week for £2200, maybe because in her mind it is worth more. Prehaps you think she should have accepted the offer of £550. If so, I know who is as NUTTY as a FRUITCAKE as you put it, and it certainly is not my mother.
Tunnie, All you have ever done is slag my mother off, big time, she left the forum, and placed an ad on eBay and you are still slagging her off, I have seen the posts and you can be cruel with your remarks and down right hurtful. My mother is not the most helpful person in an OMEGA forum, but ask her to do anything else and she will be there in a minute and bend over backwards to help you. As for the different font sizes, she was emphasing the fact that someone could have stolen that car this week, they gave her a dodgy insurance certificate, she called the police whilst they were looking at the car and the person who handed over the certificate was arrested and his friend had to walk as they also impounded his car, yes, she grassed someone up for no insurance, and I am proud of her for that, not only could they have stolen her car, but what if they had run into your nice shiny BMW motorcyle, what recourse would you have? What if they knocked down and seriously injured or killed a family member, which remember happened to her less than a year ago, so yes I am proud to call her my mam, she has her faults, and has suffered, but to continue taking the piss when she is no longer a member, well, that in my opinion is beyond reproach. None of you have realised yet, that my dad was a member here before he was killed last year and this is his screenname, and no doubt it will now be blocked and this will be deleted, but hey ho, my dad loved this site, for the short time he was here, and so did (does) my mam, all I ask is that someone stops making nasty remarks and stop criticising her. What she has gone through in the last 9 months or so, I would not wish on her worse enemy.
All she wants to do and is trying her best is to put her life back on track, get my siblings home, which they will be end of July, and enjoy her new job, which she has started to do. She cannot afford to purchase a diesel car until she sells the Omega, she loves the Omega, but with all the miles she is doing she cannot sustain keeping it. She has been fair in her advert, publicly thanking all the people who have helped her, including Tunnie, for the advice about Sky tv. Please give her a break, damn she needs one.
I will stop rambling, because I will probably get slated for it, lol. But all I ask is for you all to remember, she is MY MAM, and we only get one.
Oh, and Marks DTM, she appologises for getting the name wrong, she had NEVER heard of a Caibra, well, she is blonde, silly cow.
Thanks Steve
I remember bedlinogboy, he PM'd me a couple of times to talk about his car, he had just bought an Omega to drive to Llanelli I think. I was thinking about him a while ago because he hadn't posted for ages
Steve and Diane, so sorry to hear about this, I honestly didn't connect you to bedlininogboy (Alun), but bells kept on ringing about his location, his number plate and so on. Hope everything works out for you and things get better soon

Sorry I didnt mean to sound like I was talking down the cars history, its just that pics were posted of the state of service items as they came off the car and it looked to me like, well, that it hadnt been looked after at all

I am sure now James has had his hands on it, it runs like a dream

Lovely colour too
