Oh Richie! I am so sad to hear your news,  & so late in the day too! :-[ :(  Take comfort from the fact  she is fighting it. Your Mum is one of the 'Old School' mate, a born survivor, &  if you, her son,  are anything to go by, it's a good indication that she will get through this OK! We are All thinking of you & your Family, especially your Mum. Don't worry unnecessarily Rich, if she has anything to do with it, she will get through it! :y

Richie,

Please forgive me for not reading and contributing to this thread earlier. I really feel for you.  :'(

I wish your mum all the very best. Mums are very strong, you know. Stronger than us wimpy sons, anyway!  :y

taking her off all the machines today and going in a ward. shes too old to undergo any more operations by general anaesetic so hip replacement will have to be done by epidural later on some time. running some tests next week to see if her arteries are ok, but there is a slight risk she could have another heart attack or a stroke. so depending on test results is wether she goes on tablets rest of life or they put a coil in her arteries to keep the blood flowing to her heart.   :y

was nice to see her laugh yesterday when my sister pulled her teeth out mums  handbag instead of her mints.  ;D ;D ;D
