I always park the farthest away from any other cars, when possible :y

me too or park next to something more expensive than my car :y

i remember seeing a middle aged woman reverse one of those small mercedes A Classes out of a car park spot, she smacked into a huge bollard, ripping the front of her bumper and smashing her light off (i had been trying to tell her to stop but she was too busy chatting to her friend in the car).
She got out looked at it, laughed then jumped back in and shouted its only a car and drove off :o :o

as far as cctv footage is concerned. firstly you have to ask the camera owners data controller for the information under the freedom of information act, which they can charge an admin fee for. however due to their being 3rd party information on there too they can refuse to divulge the information under the third parties data protection act, then you have the problem of getting the police interested. ::) ::)
the offence of leaving scene of accident still stands even on private land however your insurance will not payout on most policies. know this because im area manager for security firm. its this usual run around that means most incidents like this the offender gets away with it...b*****d's :-/
