Please take care on two wheels lads yesterday was the first anniversary of my sons best freind getting killed outright at the age of twenty by a car pulling out of a side road on him, my boy was at his side when the paramedics pronounced him dead. Remember you could be the best bike rider in the world but you are so vunerable on a bike in the event of a crash
Indeed. For me, that heightened sense of awareness is one of the thrills for me, which is something you gain after several years on 2 wheels.

I was always taught to assume that tin can drivers would be incompitent, and try to kill you.  Sadly, it seems the quality of car drivers has plummetted in the last 10-15yrs imho.  Possibly because youngsters can afford cars now, so have missed out on the experience/awareness that can only be gained on 2 wheels.

Or they are genuinely trying to kill you.

Fully agree, I started on 2 wheels 35 years ago and that is what has made me such an awesome driver as well as godlike on a bike, I am also very humble. :y
