NEVER give up hope son. I am sure there is plenty of work out there for someone like you who has their SIA Licence.
You just hang in there and be patient. Good Luck. :y :y :y

Chin up, Bertie! You are NOT unemployable. It is not about you personally, it is about the number of people chasing a dwindling number of jobs. Believe in yourself. You will get a job! :y :y

No you are not unemployable. There is a place for you but you just need to find it. Easier said than done I know  :-/

I have spent the last two years grubbing for work after being laid off from my job in May 2008.

I applied for all sorts of things. Supermarkets, trades, security, sales even litter picking. Nothing, not even an interview. Very depressing.

Mrs Tonkapaj suggested I think outside the box and consider what else I could do. I have an interest in mental health and our eldest son has Autism and ADHD so I looked in that area.

I applied for a job as a Mental Health Nursing Assistant about a month ago. Unbelievably, I got an interview and have been offered the job. Which I took. After two years of searching it has happened for me. I, like you, started to think it never would.

So, chin up, think positive and keep going. IT WILL HAPPEN FOR YOU  :y :y
