Does this mean if  use *347#code it will only bar calls to mobiles and leave all other calls alone??

(got the same problem with a little ########teenager calling his mates in bed on their mobiles at night for a couple of hours.........Grrrrrrrrrrr!!)

That's why I do not have a bt phone upstairs, even though we have a point through the internet, or any cordless phones............. :y

unless they have changed it then yes, but need the feature to be activated on the switch. try it then test it to your mobile ;)

That's the one! ADOC at High Wycombe SC was the original trigger feed for the confirmation of Attack Warning Red into the Handel network.

Interesting technology, especially the attempts to harden the circuits against the effects of EMP that forgot to harden the wiring in the local exchange and the assumption that the system would be able to trigger all clear and fallout warnings after the attack when half the links to the CCP's were still strung over poles... somehow I think they may have been flattened at the very least!

Wonder if I still have it in my big box of bits ::) - I ripped it out of this pub (much to the pub owner's disgust) as it had started beeping :o (exchange end had got decommissioned as part of the crossbar to system x upgrade, and never replaced)...

If it had started beeping I bet his face was a picture! Wonder how long he waited for the voice message......  ::)

The report I got from 151 was that his Early Warning device had gone off (151 didn't have a clue what it was, but I had visited/fixed this particular one before, so was aware what it was).  The owner was, how can I put it politely, "preferred the intimate company of gentlemen to ladies", and came running out in a right flap when I pulled into the carpark. Talk about Mr Emotional/Mr Panic ;D

He was up in arms when I ripped it all out, kept asking how can he can inform 'his' community of a nuclear strike. My answer "They will see the big flash over Strike Command for a few milliseconds before they are incinerated" ::)


I'll have a look in my big box of old British smelecom bits....
