Sounded like a scam to me.

When I was at school we bought tickets for the amount of meals we wanted on monday morning, no ticket no meal as the ticket was part of the reason they know how much food to order/cook.

So how can anyone have ever been in arrears with dinner money.  Saying that, I did leave school in 1977  :-/

10p for a dinner when i was at school, 10and 1/2p for 10 no6 fags. buy fags and then go home for lunch.

There's inflation for you then as a Benson & Hedges Fag plus a single match (for what use it was ) in 1986 ish was 10p

Our dinners were 15p

plus when I was 14 (1975) I worked in a supermarket and can allways remember cans of lockwoods pop were 3.5p or 4.5 for and shandy.

Chippy was 12p for a bag of chips (I think) cant remeber the price of ficsh or pies.

(greek shops were £1.05 for a 7oz haddock fillet - now well over £3/3.50 for the same)

Well considering I have allways been open on writing regards my age and had my 49th birthday in April and got some stick for it then you tell me.

Plus I have 2 Omega's and one of them certainly does NOT have a 350 chevy, twin turbo dual 300 shot NOS motor in it (YET)  But thats because my lootery numbers have not come up yet.

But when it does - this gets dropped it with a set of brembo brakes and a full suspension rework.

He, of course, used to starve after his two bob Monday blow-out.

I can remember when crisps were 3d a pack, and we bought them (only Smiths with the blue salt bags) with the proceeds of collecting old jam jars and bottles, to be sold to the local off licence (for a reason I now not know why!!)

Didnt realised how tight they were being at the time, but my parents sent me down there with 25p to buy some.......
