Who won?
The English F.A. and the English Press.
Why the Press?
Cos they dish out all the hysteria about being good enough to win it, they give us all the facts, figures, lucky omens, blah-bloody-blah so we buy papers, watch TV, buy 'official' products etc.
Then when the team cock it up (probably cos all they can think about is the hysteria surrounding them), the press can berate the Hell out of them, telling us what a shower of shit they are etc and we again buy the papers. magazines etc., COS WE AGREE WITH THEM!!!
Not this one - I have to say that England have not impressed me as a team for over a year, and I totally agree with Richie Rich.
Why the F.A?
Cos they'll be sat there knowing that whatever, the fans will always support their national side - whoever is in charge, whatever they're told and whatever the cost.
The idiots at the FA don't give a sh*t about the game, look at the muppet Crozier - he's in charge of the Post Office now. Barwick - another muppet with the passion of a goat who appointed SG Ericsson (sp?)IIRC.
Why the Hell are these people in charge and who put them there?
English football is rotten at National level, yet here they are, getting paid shedloads of money to shrug their shoulders and blame Fabio, the coaching staff and the players. They'll still get paid, still get freebies and jollies abroad and get their bonus etc.
English football needs a major shake up, not least a winter break.
Why the Hell are these people in charge and who put them there?
If I was Nationwide Building Society, I'd want to know where all my money was going, cos it doesn't look like proper training - it certainly doesn't show on the field of play!
Sure, Fabio will get the blame, yet I don't think our poor performances of late were all down to Fabio's tactics.
Getting an English 'manager' in is all well and good, but who? Harry Redknapp? I'm sure he'd love to be asked, but would he take it on? Would he do any better? I doubt it, as he said just before kick-off today that England would win 2-1. Obviously he didn't think that the defence were gonna spend alot of time asleep.
Ergo he must have thought everything was right. Clearly (to me anyway) it isn't.
As an Englishman, I wanted England to win today, even though in my heart, I knew we couldn't.
