Forum guidelines.
« on: 28 July 2010, 23:01:27 »

I've stopped swearing on here in any shape or form. I've become alot less confrontational & being nice isn't "for a change" in my case it's most of the time now & consideration is my middle name so none of these guidelines can in any way be directed at me.

Posted some nice pictures of Lucy Pinder and Michelle Marsh.

Now working on starting another thread to get the grey matter thinking. :y

You were fairly rude to me the other day... at least I think you were, you've yet to translate what you had written...

Having had a look at that thread, and done some Googling, I can only surmise that the idea was to misconvey the acronym RAC to be the Religious Action Centre (of reform Judaism) instead of the Royal Automobile Club, hence the yiddish words.

I wouldn't take offence, Brikhead, just sit back and enjoy watching a convoluted witticism fall flat on its face.  ;) ;D

Rough translation:

"hey, matey.......this generous bloke is offering you a really good deal, take notice!"

Don't think there is any insult in that, mate.
Just a bit of pidgin yiddish............!!

(had to ask a jewish bloke to look at that first)

The translation I got was more like...
"This crazy, irrational, idiosyncratic, non Jewish person, who is trying to deceive"...

I would be very surprised indeed Brik if Phil set out to offend - I would imagine if he had something to say he would do so directly and not in a convoluted fashion.

One of the sentiments most easily lost when communicating using the typed word as opposed to face to face is humour IMHO. Had you been face to face it would have been clear that it was a joke. I too suspect no offence was intended.
