Blood money??
« on: 16 August 2010, 23:12:13 »

Tony Blair has announced that all the money he receives from his soon to be released autobiography will be donated to the British Legion, to help run a centre for injured ex service personell.
Opinions seem to be divided on his motives. A great act of kindness and charity by a world statesman? A man trying to ease his troubled conscience, hoping to sleep easier at night ? Once a self publicist, always a self publicist. Has an agenda for the future and this will help him on his way to fulfilling it when the time comes ?

Discuss ? :)

Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. At least this way the Legion benefits.

Blair is still a very rich man and doesn't actually need that money. Funny how all our leaders are "very rich". I read that he has something like 60 people in his employ.

I wonder if now Brown and then Cameroon will also have to donate their memoirs proceeds now the precedent has been set! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nutshell, IMO.

Bet the profit from memoirs volume 2 to ad infinitum dont get passed on.

What about the profit from the 5 mill advance he got some years ago?  Is the interest being passedonto HfH as well?  Thought not.....

/cynic mode....  ::)

I have absolutely no intention of reading his book or buying it for any of my enemies.

If I want any of my life-skills deprecated then perhaps I'll change my mind. :D

A shame IMO.

Whilst the British Legion appreciate any and all donations, 15 pence isn't going to go far, is it.  :-X
