Would there be much difference in atmospheric pressure between 1800 feet and sea level Six?

Sudden rise in blood pressure/respiration rate may have some effect on consciousness perhaps. :-/

Hard hat - trust me, it bloody smarts if you catch your scon on a step whilst climbing poles. So, yes, no help if you fall, but still useful ;)

Only about 40 mmHG differential; but boiling a kettle for a comforting cuppa would take longer at the bottom than from where he fell! ;D

Would be worth wearing a parachute for that one, would make one heck of a BASE jump!
