Second one down is a Triumph Snag.
Dont ever buy one, they're Shit. ::)

Yep...with a 3 litre V8......not known for it's reliability....
Or power. The thing to do at the time was to put a Rover  or Ford V engine in when the original went goosed, which makes me wonder what a stag would be like with a 3.2 omega motor fitted  :)

Loving the Fizzy. Exactly the same as mine when i was 16. Loads of us had them. We used to ride round the underground road under Worthing Bowl over & over again & hang out in the Viking coffee bar in Ann St.
   KWV 30P. Happy days!!! 8-)

I was a Honda SS50 lad myself......... :D :D :D

Lovely pictures Optimist! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

That top one appears to be a Jaguar E-Type V12.  Am I right? :-/ :-/
I have posted a picture of one in the other thread:

 ;)
Same top speed as as Miggy 3LTR just show how much more efficient modern engines are

Wow!! :o :o :o

They certainly are Tony! :D :D :D ;)
The V12 came in either 5.3 or 6.0 ltr sizes so give or take double the size of the GM V6 that said the E type had a drag coefficient of 5 which suprised me I would have thught it would have been alot more slippery than that

Cant remember a 6.0 as standard, I know lister bored out the XJS lump to 6.0

WAY to heavy.

I quite like the Triump V8, its 'different' being two 4's welded together.

But the Rover V8 was a better lump in its day and slightly lighter plus it had more grunt (for about 20K miles then it dropped away quite quickly!)

Correct me if I am wrong but wasnt a particular series of the E type fitted with the 3.8 or 4.2 much  quicker up to 100 mph than any of the V12's

I'd agree with that......The early 3.8 and 4.2 weighed in at about 1250-1300Kg.....the later fat bas*ard 5.3 litre V12....was mainly built to keep the lard arse yanks happy. :y :y

Now that's a proper engine..

I did have some nice pictures of aero engines after a trip to the Shuttleworth Collection (well worth it if you're into aviation history, racing cars and/or engines) .. and sadly now I can't find them :(

Guess I'll just have to go back, then!
