It really is simple; BIG money to be made, ready and keen audience going on to more massive money to be made from all the wonderful publicity from each "crisis" and "event".

Wonderful showbusiness making a few a lot of money.

As AA rightly says, if you don't like it don't watch it!! ::) ::) :D :D ;)

That's it in a nutshell - couldn't have put it better...

I often see people complaining about being badgered by telephone cold callers.  I can't imagine why that should be.  If you don't want to listen to them, just say you're not interested and put the phone down.

For years now, I've found that exactly the same technique works when anyone attempts to engage me in a conversation about Big Brother, X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing.  It even works when there is no telephone involved: the modified technique is to let your eyes glaze over and then pick up the nearest piece of printed matter and glance vaguely at it, even if it's a Mills & Boon.

To be honest, I can't be bothered with any of these reality shows.   :(

I'm off to get a snack, the I'm going to settle down and watch The Apprentice - oops...  :) :) :)

I read somewhere that the top 40 charts is almost strangled by Cowell these days and most of the artists are pimped managed by him.

Sausages tonight.

Funnily enough, I've got a couple of cold sausages in the fridge that I was contemplating putting in a sandwich for my supper.  But now you've reminded me of what tonights episode is about, I think I'll give that a miss.  Cheese and tomato would be better. :)

I've got no problem with the Apprentice, Dragons Den etc. There is a point to it & it can be entertaining viewing...(if i happen to catch a repeat on a weekend duvet day) but i would'nt mong out on the settee & watch it after work.
   As for Pap ego idol/can't believe i'm not famous & all the related bilge, i admit to enjoying the first auditions where the deluded are binned off with bags of abuse to thier sobbing stupid families. Worst thing is those who've won have had thier brief 15 mins of fame & are still talentless are an insult to real music & will soon be forgotten. Cowell & Walsh are simply pathetic & thier whole existance is pointless as are those who sit down & actually watch such drivel. You must be sadly lacking something in life.
    I might show a modicum of interest if Holden, cole & minogue were to decide any Stewards enquiry with a bikini wrestle in baby oil. Maybe the first thing worth watching? ::)

I had little choice but to be in the room when it was on last weekend. I had forgotten how appalling it is. The day Cowell was born - The day the music died.
Not a shred of artistry or genuine talent between the lot of them. Mummy and daddy spent a few quid on sending them to stage school, which gives them some sense of entitlement to be a living legend by Christmas.
Buy a Transit van, travel the length and breadth of the country gigging in the pubs and clubs for 5 years, learn your craft, find out if you have any real talent - then think about making your first album.

Rant over. ::)
